Verification of the Dynamic Behaviour of Existing Footbridge in Hradec Králové
Original language description
In the field of bridge structures, dynamics represents a crucial role in the design and assessment of building structures. These structures are constantly exposed to variable loads that can cause traffic, pedestrians or wind. In terms of dynamic analysis of bridge structures, modal analysis is most often used. From modal analysis we get natural frequencies and their own mode shapes (modal characteristics). From these characteristics we obtain basic information about the behavior of the bridge structure for dynamic loads. The response of the bridge structure can be determined by means of dynamic load tests. The evaluation of the experimental dynamic test performed on the existing footbridge is briefly shown in this article. The investigated footbridge is located in Hradec Králové and leads over the blind stream branch Jesípek of the Labe river in Czech Republic. The evaluated modal characteristics were compared with a theoretical 3D model.
