The aim of the contribution is to evaluate the current state of castles and utility grounds based on the impact of heritage protection. In order to evaluate the current state of castles and utility grounds, the method of analysing the current state and various influences on the current state and their mutual combination was used. It is supplemented for a better explanation of the statistics in each area of interest. This analysis should ultimately lead to the formulation of recommendations or a practical procedure in the case of the restoration of this area. Analysis of the use and impact of monument protection on the current state would not be possible without knowledge of what monument protection represents. The division and categorization and subsequent classification of the respective castles into individual areas are also based on this knowledge. Based on this, an analysis and statistics of the impact of monument protection on the current state was created. Finally, the entire analysis was evaluated and recommendations were formulated.
