    Determination of the Fundamental Mode of Flexural Vibration of Solid Materials and Its Frequency in Laboratory Work

    In this paper, a brief summary of the methods for determining the fundamental resonant frequency of the flexural vibration of a sample with a uniform cross-section in laboratory work is given. The methods are based on varying the sample length, using the overtones and searching the nodal points with the help of the Lissajous figures, amplitude of vibration, and two-channel oscilloscope. The suitability of the methods for a sonic resonant method and an impulse excitation technique, and the possibility of their usage in the distance education are analyzed.
