Calibration and Validation of a Computational Model for Surface Heat Flux and Temperature Modelling

  • Original language description

In this paper, a calibration procedure of a computational model for simulation of temperature variations on the interior surface of building walls is presented and validated. For this purpose, a case study was designed and in-situ monitoring was performed to obtain relevant data. The results of dedicated calibration showed very good agreement between experimentally determined and simulated surface temperature development. The calibration was validated againsted heat fluxes calculated on the wall surface by means of computational and experimental data. The calibrated model provides promising starting point for the development of complex and advanced models for simulation of indoor environment.
