Prediction of Thermal Performance of Building Walls Based on Variation of Selected Parameters
Original language description
In this paper, a parametric study is presented to evaluate thermal performance of selected wall typically used in residential buildings. The objective of this paper is to study wall parameters, such as thermal insulation thickness, wall orientation, glazing percentage etc. and their effect of thermal performance of the wall. Based on the observations a simple prediction model is formulated to produce wall performance data under real environmental conditions without need of sophisticated simulations or calculations using standard methods. Based on the presented results, further objectives are drawn and implications for practical applications are discussed.
