Rainfall simulators are an important tool for water erosion research. In this presentation, the changes and development of rainfall simulators at CTU in Prague were presented. The department of Landscape Water Conservation of the CTU in Prague has more than 20 years of experience in the use of rainfall simulators. In the design, construction and use of these devices in the laboratory and in the field, many suggestions have been made to improve the equipment itself especially to simplify the work of the staff. It is the errors introduced by human activity that are very common and therefore solutions need to be devised to eliminate them as much as possible. Also, field equipment in particular has been used under difficult field conditions (in forrrest, on the steep slopes etc.) and improvements have been made for possibilty to use it on different terrains. This research was supported by the projects QK22010261, CK04000144, by the Grant Agency of the CTU in Prague SGS23/155/OHK1/3T/11.
