Original language description
There is a significant gap between the incoming changes in the energy sector on the one hand and the incoming changes in energy sector on the other hand. In the field of energy supply and distribution these threats occur or become soon: increasing unit prices of both electric energy and natural gas; the energy spot pricing since 2023; the requirements contained in the Act of energy management; the common press to reduce CO2 emissions; the energy import from Russia reduction, the communal energy driven by citizens; the structure of electric tariffs’ in the Czech Republic redesign; the prepared Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. These trends strongly influenced the municipal energy because the municipalities consume significant amount of energy. The appropriate way how to tackle all of the incoming changes is expected to be created by the municipal energy manager. Many municipalities do not employ such person and in many others the energy managers have not technical education.
