DENDROGEOMORPHIC ANALYSIS OF FLASH FLOODS IN A SMALL FOREST CATCHMENT
Original language description
Flash floods represent one of the most significant natural hazards in headwater catchments facing the lack of systematic hydrological monitoring. This study confirmed the relationship between flood scares and moving mass of wood and debris by the increased discharge. It is evident that the analysed damages correspond with extreme summer rainstorms and flash floods.
