    This paper discusses the behaviour of screwed connections of thin-walled structures at high temperatures. Trapezoidal sheets are commonly used as load-bearing elements for roofs, often designed as simply supported beams connected to the supports by self-tapping screws. The bending stiffness of the sheet is reduced when exposed to fire. However, with sufficient resistance and stiffness of screwed connections, the load-bearing is transferred by tensile membrane action.
