Danville White Water Park - Hydraulic Modelling Study
Original language description
The Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) created a Froude scaled hydraulic model of the design proposed by Calibre Engineering (Calibre) for the Danville Whitewater Park. The modelling study based on Froude similutide includes scaled model of the whitewater channel (scale of length 1:15) in order to evaluate and optimize the flow characteristics of the proposed whitewater park. The model accurately portrays the proposed design for the channel at a scale that has been shown to provide accurate visual and measured hydraulic information such as flow velocities, flow depths, water surface morphology, and wave and stopper shapes, and sizes.
