    The paper is devoted to the creep and shrinkage of compacted unfired earth. The creep of illitic-kaolinitic clay has been monitored for a long time. The initial measurement was focused on the initial course of creep. The long-term measurement took place for almost 4 years. The compacted clay was prepared using a water coefficient of 0.295, when the amount of clay used in the mixture was 30%.
