Original language description
We focus on preconditioning of discretized differential operators and obtaining guaranteed bounds to the spectra of the resulting preconditioned matrices. We are concerned with two particular methods of precoditioning and their combination: the discretized Green operator and the diagonal scaling called Jacobi preconditioning. We present an algorithm for obtaining guaranteed bounds to the eigenvalues of the preconditioned operators and show some illustrative examples.
