Classification of small watersheds in Czechia for the assessment of hydrological response uncertainty
Original language description
This study aims to classify small catchments in the Czech Republic to analyse their hydrological response. A total of 7739 catchments in IV class under 20 square kilometres were grouped into five categories based on six parameters. These parameters include precipitation amount (6 hours) and shape, stream network density and average mean surface runoff, catchment shape and average CN value, representing morphological and land-use characteristics. The resulting cartographic representation allows for the visualisation of areas with similar characteristics, where runoff in one catchment may be applied to adjacent catchments and areas where no clear watershed characteristics can be identified.
