The unary homogeneous nucleation model of a pure steam together with heterogenous condensation is used to approximate the real physical nature of an impure steam nucleation process. The model is fitted to the optical extinction test data from the low-andhigh expansion rate C/D nozzle tests with reasonable agreement.
