    A Posteriori Error Estimates for the Stokes Flow in 2D and 3D Domains

    We derive a posteriori error estimates for the Stokes problem, both on two-dimensional polygonal domains, and on three-dimensional polyhedral domains. We use Hood-Taylor elements. The technique of the proof is similar to that used in [8] for 2D case. Inthe resulting estimate for general polygonal or polyhedral domains no regularity of the solution is needed. The proposed technique is based on estimating the residual components, cf. [8]. The link to possible information on the regularity of the problemis also discussed.
