    The paper deals with a design of an experimental facility developed in the Aerodynamic Laboratory of the Department of Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics, CTU Prague for the research of an unsteady compressible flow phenomena. The design philosophy is based on the preliminary theoretical study of the flow in the duct. The description is focused on the design of the generator of pulsations of the flow and on the design of special probes. First results of the experimental verification of teh predicted behaviour are ilustrated as well. Designed facility fulfils original requirements.
