Mechanical Properties of Low Alloyed Steels after Various Heat Treatment
Original language description
This contribution describes further partial results of study of cast low carbon manganese steels which are proposed for the container used for radioactive waste storage. The mechanical properties of these steels generally depend on the one hand on microalloying , on the other hand on structure and the optimum microstructure can be attained only by proper heat treatment. On the basis of optimized contents of microalloying elements ( 0,1 wt.% V and 0,02 wt.% Ti ) several semi-operating heats with bimodalcarbon contents ( 0,12 wt.% and 0,27wt. % C) were casted .The samples prepared from these materials were processed by the different heat treatment which should simulate final heat treatment of the nuclear waste cask casting.
