Influence of Mechanical Loading on the Rise and Development of Osteoarthrosis in the Hip Joint
Original language description
Osteoartrosis (OA) of the hip joint is a disease caused by some reasons; one of them can be an excessive mechanical stress of the cartilage. We suppose that different geometrical shape and ways of loading develop different stress distributions and contact pressure values in the hip joints. This work was to assess the stress and pressure distributions in the hip joint (the head-socket contact) developed by different geometrical shapes and load patterns, as well as to evaluate the influence of the magnitude of separate loading forces on the stress distribution in the hip joint.
