Dose distributions in a PVDF phantom irradiated by a Co60 source have been measured with polyacrylamid gels and calculated with the code OMEGA/BEAM. Measured and calculated depth dose curves and profiles have been compared and show agreement within the statistical uncertaintes. The simulation of the source model has been validated for depth dose curves and profiles in a water phantom
