    Sound Transmission by Boilers and Chimneys

    During last years several problematic projects of boiler houses gave grievance for the sake of an excessive noise in outside of them. Experience from realized sound measurements on many boilers show, that noise generated in outside by the chimney is verydepending not only on noise of a burner but mainly on a transmission loss or an amplification of boiler incl. smoke-flu and chimney too. In the paper are presented some findings which were obtained by theoretical and experimental works on a array of boiler houses. It was demonstrated, that own frequencies of particular pipes and cavities inside of boiler must not be the same as own frequencies of e smoke-flu and a chimney. In case,it is all acoustic system in tune, the chimney radiates more acoustic energy on own frequencies as a big organ. Boiler and burner design would be respect a condition, that any part of boiler pipes a cavities in the first case must not to have the same own frequencies. The theoretic formulae for a calculation
