Fatigue Strength of Thin-Walled Welded Tubes
Original language description
The report discusses methods used for fatigue calculations of welded thin-walled hollow tubes. Examples of structural stress and local notch stress methods used in industrial practice are shown. Fatigue tests and numerical and experimental analyses of stresses close to the weld area are discussed. Monte Carlo simulations, through the help of the Ant Hill program, are utilized for assessment of weldment's reliability.
