Original language description
The recent experiments on composite tubes showed that unidirectional and cross filament-wound composite tubes had nonlinear behaviour under axial loading, which is mainly caused by nonlinear shear behaviour. The nonlinear constitutive relation developedby Hahn and Tsai was adopted and expanded. The piecewise linear approximation for numerical recalculation of the tube stiffness was used.
