Measuring Range Translation of Force Transducers

  • Original language description

Optimization of the measuring range of force transducers is based on the use of residual bending stresses in their strain gauge measuring design. Using this special design moves the measuring range of the transducers, when unsymmetrical force loading isapplied. For example, it is possible to measure an unsymmetrical force from -100N to +500N, instead measuring symmetric force range from -300N to +300N. This principle enables us to develop transducers, which will respect unsymmetrical force loading.
