Analysis of the Hole Drilling Method Principle Used for the Residual Stress Identification
Original language description
Principles of current theories applied for the hole drilling method evaluation of residual stresses were tested by beams in bending. It was shown that considerable differences exist between the stress state estimated by the hole-drilling method and the real stress state. 3D numerical models of the beams in bending and tension were created and the principle of hole-drilling methods was tested. It was shown that the basic base function used in the current theory for definition of the radial strain aroundthe drilled hole can not describe the stress distribution accurately. Therefore new basis functions were suggested and tested. When developing this new method for more general applications, we defined suitable base functions for specific diameters of thehole and for specific materials characterized by Young's modulus of elasticity E and Poisson's ratio Mi.

Analýza odvrtávacího principu z hlediska identifikace zbytkové napjatosti
