Experimental Investigation of Compressible Flow Between Two Turbine Blades

  • Original language description

Detailed knowledge of properties of two phase compressible flow plays a crucial role in design and everyday service of steam turbines. An experimental study of instantaneous velocity fields and distribution of water droplets in the channel of blade cascade can bring a first insight into the problems of performance, effects on turbine stages located downstream and surface degradation of blades.
