    In this contribution, both the central and the Lax-Wendroff schemes are used for solving the Burgers equation. The computation is performed in one-dimensional space and the numerical solution is obtained for the case of viscosity of 0.1 and 0.5; the convection has the value of 0.003. The results, obtained by both the numerical schemes, are compared with analytical solution in the form of the Bessel functions. The applicability of both the schemes is analysed.
