Evolutionary Detection of Sensor Discredibility in Control Loops

Result description

In operation of control loops, we can be tackled by the problem of a hidden malfunction, usually caused by sensors used for measuring of the controlled variables. These sensors often do not stop their operation completely (which is easy to recognize); they only start to provide a little bit wrong measurement of the controlled variables. The problem is following: although the control loop seems to work properly, the consequences of such a small sensor malfunction (sensor discredibility) can become substantial and expensive. This paper concentrates on the idea of sensor auto-detection mainly leads to improvement of controlled system function. The aim is not only to check reliability of sensor and control loop possibilities, but it lies in achieving better control quality. Agent based approach is also considered.

    Skrytá nesprávná funkce regulačního obvodu je obvykle zapříčiněna senzory použitými pro měření regulovaných veličin. Pokud rozdíl mezi měřenými hodnotami a skutečnými hodnotami není extrémní, je pouze malá šance, že operátor rozpozná špatnou činnost senzoru. Tento příspěvek se zabývá dvěmi myšlenkami: detekcí diskredibility senzoru jako způsobu, který nahrazuje obvyklou hardwarovou redundanci a šetří náklady dodatečného měření a na použití detekce diskredibility senzoru jako prostředku pro vylepšení funkce regulovaného zařízení.
