Flow Investigation behind the End-to-Side Anastomosis
Original language description
The velocity field was measured by 2D PIV method. The flow field was measured in symmetry plane for steady conditions (Re=500, Re=1400). The bypass models were made from plexiglass with connection angles 20°, 30°, 45°, 60° a 90°. 60% solution of sodium-iodine (NaI) was used as a working fluid. Fluorescent particles were used as seeding particles. The camera was placed perpendicular to the laser sheet. Six areas were measured along the host artery (length of measured area was approximately 60mm). Connection of flow fields and other evaluation were carried out in the Matlab. The goal of this work was to describe the velocity field behind the distal end-to-side bypass junction in dependence on the connection angle both experimentally and numerically.

Proudové charakteristiky za připojením end-to-side bypasu
Czech description
V této práci jsou prezentovány výsledky z měření rychlostního pole za připojením end-to-side bypasu metodou 2D PIV. Měřeny byly modely s úhlem připojení 20°, 30°, 45°, 60° a 90°. Výsedky byly porovnány s hodnotami, které byly získány numerickou simulací.
