  • Original language description

    Contact pressure on articulating surfaces of a knee joint endoprosthesis is assumed important for fatigue life of the prosthesis, an UHMWPE insert of a tibial component respectively. Contact pressure distribution can be obtained by computations by means of finite element method but it is necessary to perform measurements to verify computational simulations. Fuji pressure sensitive films were used to measure contact pressure. Digitalized imprint evaluation was performed by a computer program.
