Energy conjugated measures of stress and strain should occur in every proper constitutive relation for the material behaviour description. There are many strain measures in common use, several of them discussed in the paper. The main aim is to focus on the general energy conjugated measures of stress towards the general Lagrangean strain derivation.

Czech description
V každém konstitutivním popisu materiálu by se měly vyskytovat pouze energeticky konjugované míry napětí a deformace. Je možné zavést řadu měr deformace, některé z nich budou diskutovány v příspěvku. Hlavním cílem příspěvku je odvození obecných konjugovaných napětí pro obecnou Lagrangeovskou míru deformace.
