The simulation of cycling - optimization of sport performance based on different frequency of pedaling
Original language description
In this paper is studied simulation method for optimization of human muscle work during cycling. The musculoskeletal model of a lower limb solves the optimum relation between consumed metabolic energy and power output on the bicycle back wheel. The musculoskeletal model is consisting of the 36 musculotendon actuators for each limb. Muscles are based on the Hill-type models with respectation the active (force-length-velocity relation) and passive properties (force-length relation), tendon and activationdynamics. Studied problem is dependence the frequency of pedaling on the changes in joint angles during one cycle in constant power output. One result of this simulation study is that pedaling with higher frequency can be preferable for better ratio between metabolic energy consumption and power output on the bicycle back wheel.

Simulace šlapání - optimalizace jízdy na kole
Czech description
Simulované šlapání, resp. jízda na kole je optimalizována z hlediska maximálního výkonu na zadním kole při minimalizované spotřebě metebalocké energie. studován je i vliv frekvence šlapání na výkon a spotřebu energie.
