Finite Element Modelling of a Hydrostatic Bearing
Result description
In this paper finite element modelling of a hydrostatic bearing is presented. The goal is to obtain proper compensation of hydrostatic bearing behaviour such as nonlinear force - displacement characteristic and correct setting of actual thickness of thehydrostatic layer. Laminar flow condition and parallel plane bearing surfaces are considered in this idealization. The ANSYS code was used in this work.
