Detection of Biased Control Function Caused by Discredible Sensors
Original language description
Gradual loss of proper function of the control variable sensor may lead to serious problems in control. There is a danger that the control variable exceeds the limits of the tolerance range without displaying any difference from the set point. The stagewhen a sensor provides biased data is known as sensor discredibility. Due to sensor discredibility, some undesirable difficult recognizable side effects may occur. This becomes important in combustion processes when the discredibility of the oxygen probeused for control of the burning air can lead to a hidden increase in penalized gaseous emissions. The paper introduces software model-based methods for control variable sensor discredibility detection, namely methods using evolutionary algorithms and methods based on the evaluation of statistical indices. Simulated examples document obtained results. A new extension of the methods includes the ability to approximate the time until the control variable sensor discredibility occurs.
