    Instantaneous Frequency Deviation Estimation by Correlation Methods

    This paper presents results obtained with a DSP based experimental measuring system intended to evaluate instantaneous angular velocity deviations. The mathematical background for the used method is presented, simulation with a known signal is used to estimate the performance of the proposed method and finally a real signal is evaluated. This system is used to process inductive sensors data for a diagnostic system based on instantaneous angular velocity deviations. A novel correlation based method has been developed for this purpose.
