    Is the Error in Measurement of Tensile Properties of Tendons Without Extensometer Significant?

    In the present study the in vitro tensile properties of the swine extensor digitorum profundus tendons were obtained. For a measurement the testing system MTS Mini Bionix 858.2 was used. The specimens were clamped by new jaws which we developed by modifying of lathe chuck. Data were obtained from displacement of jaws and with and without extensometer. We tested by different strain (50, 100)mm/min. Average values of reached strains were (14.76, 15.76)% from jaws displacement and (5.03, 5.24)% from extensometer. Data from displacement of jaws are influenced of slip specimens from jaws. Differences are about (293.4, 300.7)%. The results from measurement with extensometer are correspondent to published data [4,7,8].

    V této studii byly měřeny in vitro vlastnosti vepřové šlachy svalu extensor digitorum profundus. Pro samotné měření bylo využito testovacího systému MTS Mini Bionix 858.2. Vzorky byly uchyceny do speciálně upravených soustružnických sklíčidel. Z měření byly obdrženy data z posuvu čelistí a z extensometru při rychlostech deformace 50 a 100 mm/min. Průměrné dosažené hodnoty deformace byly 14,76% a 15,76% pro posuv čelistí a 5.03% a 5.24% pro extensometr. Data z posuvu čelistí byla ovlivněna prokluzem vzorku z čelistí. Rozdíly byly 293.4% a 300,7%. Výsledky měření s extensometrem odpovídají výsledkům publikovaným [4,7,8].
