Shear buckling analysis of composite sandwich panels
Original language description
The paper deals with an experimental measurement of the buckling critical load of the composite sandwich panels under shear loading and it compares the results with the theoretical buckling load obtained by calculation. There are used both Analytical approach and FEM analysis to calculate the theoretical buckling load. There were tested several sandwich panels with different edge stiffness in the experiment. There was recorded the critical buckling load and also the behavior after the first buckling mode until the panel destruction was analysed. The comparison of different edge stiffness design was made. There was observed that the theoretical calculated buckling loads were slightly conservative in comparison to the actual buckling loads from the experiment.
