Thermographic Measurement of Dynamic Behaviour of Panel Radiators
Original language description
This paper describes part of a research project dealing with dynamic behaviour of panel radiators, mainly with time constants of heat-up and cool-down process and using both experimental measurements with infrared camera and computer simulations. Experimental data for panel radiators type 10 with various dimensions and connection configurations and their comparison with computer models created in Matlab/Simulink and Excel were chosen for this article. Analysis was focused on connection configuration influence on the time constant as well as on comparison of different modelling approaches. Obtained data show that better values of time constant (20 %) for radiators Radik 10 MM are achieved with central connection. It was also proved, that infrared imaging can be used for secondary observing of the fluid flow through the radiator. A simplified simulation of radiator cool-down using the analytical solution of differential equation leads to a relative deviation of less than 3 %.
