The effect of kaolin concentration and flocculent type onto flocculation of kaolin slurry was investigated in baffled tank agitated by Rushton turbine at given mixing intensity 248 W/m3 and given flocculation time 3 min. Created flocks were separated bysedimentation. The tests have been carried out at the model wastewater (suspension of tap water and kaolin). The model wastewater was flocculated with various organic flocculents Sokoflok (solution 0. 1 wt. %). The relationship quantifying the effect ofinitial kaolin concentration onto residual turbidity degree was derived and used for data treatment

Czech description
Vliv koncentrace kaolinu a typu flokulantu na flokulaci kaolínové suspenze byl zkoumán v nádobě míchané Rushtonovou turbínou při intenzitě míchání 248 W/m3 a době flokulace 3 min. Vytvořené vločky byly separovány sedimentací. Pro vyhodnocení dat byl odvozen a použit vztah popisující vliv počáteční koncentrace kaolénu na reziduální znečištění.
