Original language description
Mechanical properties of arterial walls are studied in our laboratory. Results obtained from analysis of various experiments must be verified. For these purposes, a numerical model of flow through an elastic tube (artery) was created. Calculation of pulse wave velocity (PWV), based on data obtained from static experiments can be compared with the PWV measured under dynamic loading of the tube. The numerical model simulates flow through multiple serial tubes to approximate the experimental conditions. The 1D axi-symmetric model is based on conservation equations and uses the finite volume method. The numerical results were calculated for a system of latex tubes and compared with published experimental data.

Mechanické vlastnosti cév určené z experimentů musí být ověřeny nezávislou metodou. Pro tyto účely byl vytvořen numerický model proudění kapaliny elastickou trubicí za účelem spočítání rychlosti pulzní vlny a porovnání s experimentálně naměřenou rychlostí. 1D model je založen na metodě konečných objemů.
