Original language description
The work deals with numerical simulation of the incompressible flow in a channel with backward facing step. The step is either perpendicular to the bottom wall or inclined at 45 angle degree. Also different heights of the step related to the total channel height is considered. The mathematical model is based on the Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations. The turbulence effects are modelled using two-equation k-epsilon and k-omega eddy viscosity models and explicit algebraic Reynolds stress model. Thenumerical results are compared with accessible experimental data.
