Detailed calibrated 1-D engine model of 2-stage turbocharged small SI engine was created. The main target is to compare different 2-stage turbocharging concepts (twin turbo, e-booster + turbo, mechanical compressor + turbo and COMPREX + turbo) from thermodynamic point of view. All systems are fully optimized applying genetic algorithm.
