Multiaxial Fatigue Testing and Prediction
Original language description
A long-term mapping of predictive capability of a set of calculation methods was started at the CTU in Prague. In addition to this development, the use of PragTic allowed to test a lot of criteria on large amount of the multiaxial high-cycle fatigue datapublished abroad. That way was born the FatLim database. FatLim currently sums up results of computations by 18 different calculation methods over 428 experimental points. Thanks to the structure of PragTic's code it is relatively easy to implement newcriteria there and to test their adequacy on experimental results according FatLim database. Experimental investigation, fatigue life prediction methodology and results were described in the paper. Tests were performed on the electro-hydraulic two channels loading machine by combined push-pull and torsion loading. Critical Plane (PCr) and Papuga Integral (PI) methods developed for unlimited fatigue life were investigated. Many uniaxial and multiaxial fatigue criteria were compared
