Contact Fatigue Under Fretting Conditions
Original language description
The aim of this paper is to summarise current achievements and knowledge in the field of fretting fatigue. The state variables that have the main influence on fretting damage are discussed here and various approaches and methods commonly used in fatiguelife assessment of machine parts under fretting conditions are mentioned too. The experimental test bench for fretting fatigue tests which is in the design phase is featured here as well as the preliminary results of numerical analysis of contact conditions possibly achieved on this bench.
