Foundation and Classification of Non-Conventional Neural Units and Paradigm of Non-Synaptic Neural Interaction
Original language description
This chapter introduces basic types of non-conventional neural units and focuses their mathematical notation and classification. Namely, the notation and classification of higher-order non-linear neural units, time-delay dynamic neural units, and time-delay higher-order nonlinear neural units is introduced. The classification of non-conventional neural unites is founded at first according to non-linearity of aggregating function, at second according to the dynamic order, at third according to time-delayimplementation within neural units. Introducing into simplified parallel of the higher-order non-linear aggregating of higher-order neural unites revealing both the synaptic and non-synaptic neural interaction is made. Thus, a new parallel between the mathematical notation of non-conventional neural unites and the neural signal processing of biological neurons is drawn.
