Identification and Analysis of Problems in the Application of Product Life Cycle Costing Method in the Construction Sector in the Czech Republic.
Original language description
One way to create a more comprehensive view of costs in the different phases of a building project is to perform life cycle cost (LCC) analysis. A LCC perspective consists of estimations related to initial costs for acquisition together with operation and maintenance costs. The main motivation to use LCC is to increase the possibility of cost reductions during operation even if that means spending somewhat more during planning and development. Despite the advantages LCC models bring in order to optimizecosts, there are some practical problems in its application. The goal of this cooperation will be identification of main categories of problems of life cycle costing, to what extent clients use life cycle cost estimations, in which phases they use it, what their perception of the limitations and benefits are in the Czech Republic.
