Numerical Solution of Wet Steam Flow with A Priori Droplet Size Distribution
Original language description
This paper deals with numerical solution of two-phase transonic flow of wet steam in nozzle. Originally used flow model considers the same velocity for both liquid and vapor phase, condensation due to homogenous nucleation and it works with average sizeof droplet. The problem is solved by the fractional step method to handle different time scales. Finite volume method is used for convection part and the Runge-Kutta method is applied for condensation part. This flow model has been modified by adding ana priori given droplet size distribution function, which is important for the modeling of droplet growth. Results achieved by both models are compared.
