Original language description
The DAQ system was prepared for the commissioning of the TOTEM Roman Pot detectors. The system developed on the PVSS II, ver 3.6, SCADA platform provides remote multi-user access to the online data, to assure safe operation of the RP that is in the commissioning process. The systems high level architecture is SERVER-CLIENT oriented, when SERVER is placed locally in the area of the commissioning and CLIENTs can be, thanks to the TCP/IP based communication, geographically located anywhere within reach ofthe Internet connection. Necessary data are obtained from different types of temperature, pressure and flow-meter sensing elements. The system manages in summary communication with three ELMB units, up to 192 sensor readings, data-base with all historical values and real-time remote access to all those data to any number of observers.
