Application of LES Turbulence Model to Motored 4-stroke Internal Combustion Engine
Result description
It is a theoretical study to compare LES turbulence model (Smagorinsky) with RANS approach for the case of motored 4-stroke internal combustion engine. The LES results are based on statistical evaluation of 45 consecutive cycles. Such data are compared with RANS results (2 different RANS models were tested).
