Comparison of Various Turbulence Models for Steady and Unsteady Flow

  • Original language description

The aim of this work is to compare some of the most used numerical turbulence models. The comparison is done both for steady case (subsonic and transonic flow over the RAE 2822 profile) and unsteady case (transonic flow over the NACA 0012 profile). Compared models are Spalart-Allmaras model, Wilcox's k-omega model, EARSM model and Kok's TNT model. Obtained numerical results are compared with experimental data with good agreement. Governing system of equations is solved by three different modern cell-centered finite volume schemes.
