Monitoring of 3D Composite Structures Using Fiber Optic Bragg Grating Sensors
Original language description
This paper presents an experimental investigation of the fatigue properties of a novel type of composite structure. Specimens were made from a so-called 3D carbon composite, with integrated Fiber Bragg Grating sensors. Fatigue tests were carried out to evaluate the suitability of this kind of sensor for monitoring the structural health of 3D structures.
